Three years ago, my parents saw me sitting on the couch on a Saturday night, and they thought that was such an ungodly thing for a twenty-something to be doing in New York City that they tossed me a little black dress, shoved me out the door, and threw the lock. And through the crack of the door frame, my mother said:

“Don’t come back until you’ve had a night worth writing about.”

And with that, as the new branch of a family tree that seems to love lumberjacks (who could blame us), I was burdened with the responsibility of continuing the antics my parents had started in New York in the 80s.

Now, it’s hard to hold a candle to meeting Jackie Kennedy in the Central Park Zoo and subsequently vomiting all the way down Fifth Avenue. Or having your phone tapped by the US government while an 8-piece mariachi band slept in the living room of a shoebox apartment in Astoria. And— god, those are just the legal stories. But I’ve found my fair share of excitement dancing (and falling off of) bar tops, getting mildly kidnapped in one country and being an outright trespasser in another, and sharing bongs with people who had maybe-done-a-little-murder-but-only-accidentally (a discovery after the fact).

And it’s all uphill from here.

On top of being a New Yorker who’s always ten steps away from disaster, I’m an essayist, scriptwriter, producer, and performer, holding a Wellesley College degree in English and Astronomy, or as my father calls it “unemployment”.

Although I’m a more than proficient administrator (if you’ve found me from LinkedIn, I swear I’m a very good tippy-typist), I also founded the production company, Resident Dilettante. We’ve put up stage shows across New York and abroad, and shot our first film project this summer.

In my personal life, I’m endlessly curious and always finding reasons to say yes to new experiences. That’s how I became a nationally ranked collegiate Latin Ballroom dancer, spent a day as a Kate Spade model, and met the love of my life across a roulette table in Monte Carlo (thanks to some very well-played Chase Sapphire Rewards Points).
